Joy, at the expense of any first responders who may have to scrape my body off the floor. Joy, at the expense of my parents who sacrificed for me to have so much privilege. Joy, at the expense of all the incoveniced humans who have to adjust their typical commute for my ego. Joy, at the expense of everyone else. Nothing is noble about this. Unbridled self obsession, that is all.

I’m sorry that you have such a viscerally negative reaction to the concept of adventure.

Personally, I’m glad that people try to do incredible and difficult things just because they can, but you’re welcome to continue shouting insults from the sidelines I guess.

You can get splattered on the way to get a donut not just climbing a building. Also this guy has freesoloed lots of other places so he wasn’t in a ton of danger. He was the first to freesolo El Capitan. He had the experience and the safety crew on standby.

Do you just stay in your house wrapped in bubble wrap?

I’m an avid extreme sports enjoyer so i’m actually fairly good at recognizing risk. When was the last time you did anything fun and adventurous?
