I’ll actually put the blame for this on Apple. The fact that the operating system is so hostile to power users and customization is the reason you have to have a third party application to get the scroll to work how you want and assign functions to mouse buttons in the first place.

That is some weird enshitification right there. Looks down at my 2012 G500 that recently got new mouse click actuators added to it by me. You’re doing just fine old friend! (It could use a new mouse wheel kit though.)
