Also also, look up “minority status” in China and how mixed race Han-Uyghur people usually identify with their Uyghur heritage on official papers because it opens up more social support programs like scholarships. You literally get more perks from the government if you’re not Han, and this is supported by both the majority and minority ethnicities in China.
