  • I second the physical planner. The way I use it has changed over decades to meet my needs at the time. But I really enjoy that I can look back on the record and reflect. It helps me know what’s working, what’s not, understand my current feelings sometimes – (like oh yeah, I’m exhausted because I was sick then had to travel and its only been 3 days of home). Helps me be a little kinder to myself, and sometimes im really proud of what I’ve accomplished. That pride could easily been lost in the noise of life if I didn’t have that longer term physical record.

Right now, I like a weekly agenda that gives me enough room to track a few things each day and a memo section next to it for a weekly to do list or whatever notes about what comes up. My point here is just that for anyone interested in such a habit, you dont need to allocate a lot of time to make it useful to you.

Bose quiet comfort. I dont put my ears in the water when I do this. They have capacitive touch controls so they will start cycling through the different noise canceling modes if they get even a few drops of water.

This works great in the bath, and fine in the shower if I’m not washing my hair.

I used to have some beats that had a mechanical button and they did even better because the little bit of moisture wouldn’t start activating the mode swapping or volume changes.

Yep. I read the over concern as a stress reaction to trying to please an emotionally abusive parent – which also works with an nt child.

“I will do my best to make this work out an even if it goes perfectly my parent may still find a reason to meltdown.”

  • Its like talking to a stupid AI. (When someone finishes my sentence but incorrectly) So frustrating. And the other thing that happens is I’m so astounded at the interruption I forget what I was getting at. My brain does not prioritize speed (I’m slow to process/respond sometimes) so I just can’t even do these kinds of conversations. I’m giving up, my contribution is clearly not needed for your conversation with yourself (I don’t mean YOU, I mean the theoretical person)

Anyway, ty for working on improving it, I know it’s an effort!
