I will probably revert back to Mint once gamma is moved away from using wrapper and Nexus releases a Linux mod manager that gets around some of the weird issues. Like how Baldurs gate 3 just doesn’t work or how NVSE64 doesn’t work for Linux.

Yeah actually. A lot of laws get shitcanned into irrelevance due to being worded like shit on everything from the local to federal levels. That’s not even getting into conflicts with pre-existing well worded laws or the constitution as a whole.
If it’s worded badly enough it may even just be thrown out on first test due to being vague and too widely applicable. Just for example I drive a 2001 Toyota Tacoma it has an operating system because it’s got an ECU, how the actual fuck would that interact with this law? Obviously the corporate answer is to force me to get a new car but the actual practical answer is that that isn’t viable, so it’s more likely the courts just gut an entire section of the law with one case. Keep up the gutting and sooner or later it’ll end up defunct.

I’ve been calling it symbolic degeneration in my head. While the fascists of the 20s, 30s, and 40s generally had a tendency to disrespecting and abusing symbolism for political gain these people barely know what symbolism is. They know that certain imagery and symbols have meaning but are too stupid and gaudy to really understand it, they treat it like a child learning poetry, they know certain words have imagery and ideas attached but have no clue how any of it works in theory so they just photo copy it until it loses all coherence.
I invoke certain bits of imagery on purpose with subtle differences from the real thing for shits and giggles to fuck with people so this is something I keyed into awhile back.

As the owner of an 01 Tacoma I can confirm, the damned thing is basically a modern Model A/T. It has a good chance of lasting 500,000 miles and being resurrected afterwards.

Oh absolutely. Also games that had mod managers out the gate worked fine, such as Rimworld. The problem is that I’m not playing Daggerfall or Oblivion all too frequently, hell even New Vegas required a metric fuckton of black magic fuckery and then broke for no reason though that may have been New Vegas being New Vegas. Regardless given how much I mod games and how little support Linux gets from larger mod managers it’s probably better for me to deal with Windows 10 and just wait.
Frankly I’m kinda annoyed at having to do this since I actually rather enjoy Mint. I was able to customize that shit more than my Tacoma and that somebitch looks quite a bit different than when I got it, except for the paint.
