Love Anki and have been using the android app for around 2 years now to study for exams. For the longest time, my study routine consisted of reading my notes from class, adding more info if something is missing, and repeatedly rewriting the text before me in shorter summaries to somehow retain the information and learn. I was sure that I couldn’t work with flashcards.

Ever since I tried Anki, it’s been going a lot better. It’s not too much of a hassle to create a deck and add flashcards, and studying gets easier for me too. It helped my short attention for studying too

I suspect I might have ADHD and that would explain many of my shortcomings in school, university, now school again, as well as in my private life. Wouldn’t a diagnosis help with choosing the right direction to tackle these problems from?

Like, if I know it’s ADHD, I know that it’s a brain-chemistry problem and if it’s not, it’s maybe just a generell attitude or overall motivation problem? I see your point about the focus not needing to be on the diagnosis but on treating the symptoms themselves, regardless of diagnosis, but wouldn’t treatment look different then?

Definitely do report them. I’ve already banned a bunch of these and will continue to do so. We are reliant on reports, however, since we don’t have eyes everywhere. :)

SD cards rule, then lol

I actually like that thinking, haven’t thought of it that way. Should the day come when Sony decides to kill all digital copies of games people have collected over the years, who’s stopping them from just jailbreaking/rooting/cracking/CFW-ing their console to just download the games they want from dedicated communities who have dumped those games on the internet ages ago?

I did the same thing with my 3DS when the eShop was officially closed, and now I can’t imagine a 3DS without access to anything I could want on there.

Would the reading speed of those SD cards be as fast as the reading speed of Blurays? Or is the reading part of using Blurays unnecessary in the first place because most of the game is loaded onto the console itself?

I imagine you could write-protect the SD cards the same way you do with Blurays, so if the question above is a non-issue, then that’d be quite a cool solution. SD cards pushing terabytes easily now, they’d be large enough for sure.

But then again, afaik, the discs are not really needed and don’t need to accommodate that much space in them except for licensing and DRM stuff, I think, since the majority of the game is downloaded regardless, right?

This is me so much. At my new apprenticeship, we basically have a sort of probation period for the first semester where you need to achieve a certain average grade to be allowed to continue the apprenticeship. Accross all of the grades I got, except for one, I got the same average grades that I used to get back in school and in university where I used to do the same thing you describe. I just can’t make myself work any earlier for the exams.

Today was our last exam and my average is good enough that I won’t get kicked out which is a huge relief. But damn does it suck to hear that I have the same average grades I’ve had for years compared to my classmates who have stellar grades. I know comparing myself to my peers isn’t really conducive for my self-esteem and my psyche, but I just can’t help it.

I also thought that jungle was a tad lacking on Spotify, but overall, I’ve been happy with it thus far. Definitely enough to not have to listen to the same 5-10 songs on repeat lol
