I keep my piles in moving boxes so as to trick the demons into giving me head pats.

17·2 days ago“The whole family was trusting,” she said. “I think there’s a lot of other landowners that were trusting that we had these really good regulators, and that’s just not the case at all.”
Not anymore at least. Although I sympathise, I wonder if this is a “Leopards ate my face” situation.

Went to a study session put on by one of the TA’s… seemed like the whole class showed up also. It was a ~300 person lecture and the session was held in on old bio lab meant for maybe 20 people.
I didn’t even go inside, just turned around and almost ran away.
So I watched a video negatively critiquing Theoden’s tactical prowess and I wasn’t able to talk about how the Rohirrim have special armour for their horses that gives them the ability to crush anything standing in their way.
IIRC you can use the Rohirrim in the game Shadow of War to basically erase any orcs on the map.

211·15 days agoIt’s incredibly disingenuous to look at a public service and say “This costs money to operate” as if it was a bad thing. Like wtf do you expect? It’s obvious and conservatives frame this obvious fact in such a way that garners support for their wanton destuction of our society in the name of profit. Profit for themselves and their friends, which very likely does not include you.
You repeat their spin almost verbatim and with your vote they slowly run our institutions to the ground and hammer in a FOR SALE sign.
You should be fucking ashamed of yourself.

9·18 days agoThe issue is how it will be enacted. It will invariably require transmitting personally identifying information across a network and for it to be stored somewhere for processing. Even if this is done as safely as possible with government systems, there is always the risk of data theft and exposure as well as excluding people that don’t trust the government at all, like pretty much every Indigenous person I’ve ever met.
It as well provides the government with a system and store of information that could be used as tool of oppression.

Literally the only cockroaches I can tolerate.
