Autism@lemmy.world•Attention Deficit Trait - similar to ADHD, but caused by information overload in crazy work environments
8·5 months agoWoah, that is interesting. Always felt that.
I also work in research and the number of tasks running in parallel is honestly too much for me. I am nearly always waiting for responses of other to finish urgent paperwork or proposals, while doing research and some teaching stuff. It is almost impossible to really dive into one of these topics when everything is just done this way.

Autism@lemmy.world•It's Sunday 12/14/2025. Hey, What's Going On!
2·6 months agoGood luck with your nightshifts this week!
I had, unexpectedly, a very nice Weekend. Social battery only ran out when my dad was visiting too long today. He is mostly a good Person but can be very negative and often complains about the same stuff so…

Science@mander.xyz•Scientists have been studying remote work for four years and have reached a very clear conclusion: “Working from home makes us thrive”
0·8 months agoIf those politicians could read, they would be very angry.
No No, I have been thinking about nothing in this scenario. Everything sucks, so I just start being super empty.

Autism@lemmy.world•Neurodiverse people, how much alone time do you need?
2·11 months agoActually I do not have a problem with two days either :-D For me it gets hard after a week I would say. Love me some good alone time.

Science@mander.xyz•Genetic evidence that our brains make new neurons in adulthood may close a century-old debate
6·1 year ago“some adults may not generate new neurons at all.”
The article itself is so interesting and gives hope! But I am very curious for why some adults don’t seem to form new neurons.

World News@lemmy.ml•The truth about organic milk: cows are suffering on even the most “humane” dairy farms
14·2 years agoI am also simultaneously asking myself if prices for oatmilk are fair. Where I live the cheapest option is 1€ for a liter. But if you ever made oatmilk by yourself, you know how cheap it is do do it at home. I know I’m just lazy as f*, so I am not doing it and therefore should not rant. But I am really curious what’s behind this pricing, other than higher tax than on milk.

I wonder if the hackers will do anything with the stolen Data. This could get interesting.

Technology@lemmy.world•Stackoverflow Mod proposes prohibiting questions from being closed as duplicates to catch-all questionsEnglish
31·2 years agoSomething similar happened to me. I started to program, wanted to answer an question. Explained the issue a bit and posted an link to it with more Info. Got downvoted and removed because you have to make every link gratuitous with explanation about the content. I know it’s a best practice but I am a bit salty, because I see a lot of posts which do not follow this rule. So part of the issue is my own stuborness. Anyway, now I can’t answer questions anymore and my only choice to gain poins is asking questions. Buuuut I am hestitating because of storys like yours.
