When I was 21, I held the same position at the computer while writing a paper for so long that when I moved, I threw my back out. I had no previous back injuries, but Ive sure as hell had subsequent ones.

He has such kind, misleading eyes.

191·21 days agoDuring June 2006, days before the controversial presidential election of 2006, 84-year-old Echeverría was charged with genocide in connection with the massacre. He was placed under house arrest pending trial. In early July of that year (after the presidential elections), he was cleared of genocide charges, as the judge found that Echeverría could not be put on trial because the statute of limitations had expired.
Of all the crimes, it really feels like genocide shouldn’t have a statute of limitations

Not his fault and his parents definitely suck, but I don’t want to live with him. I would very, very much prefer being robbed to dealing with his antics.

Not disagreeing, but it seems like he’s in some way indebted or beholden to Putin, and I’ll grant that that’s got to be terrifying. Especially given that he’s becoming less and less helpful a person to keep around as his popularity sinks and his influence shrinks.
And he was a messy little fucker, anyway
Yeah, I felt bad about not thinking Monty python was the funniest thing ever when I was in high school, but I grew up listening to comedians who were standing on their shoulders, so to speak.

I’ve got a monthly scheduled transfer from one of my bank accounts to another that is mildly problematic every month. I need to change the amount, but to do that, I’ve got to go to the bank during business hours.
It has been nearly a year that I’ve needed to do this. I would like to hope I’ll get it done before 2026, but I suspect I’ll still have it on my to do list in June.

6·29 days agoIn addition to jointly running Gilbreth, Incorporated, their business and engineering consulting firm, Lillian and Frank wrote numerous publications as sole authors, as well as co-authoring multiple books and more than fifty papers on a variety of scientific topics. However, in their joint publications, Lillian was not always named as a co-author, possibly due to publishers’ concerns about naming a female writer. Although her credentials included a doctorate in psychology, she was less frequently credited in their joint publications than her husband, who did not attend college.[11][25]
