  • Crockett is more qualified,

Because she has 3 whole years in the House…

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasmine_Crockett

And Tarico only has checks notes 8 years of experience in House.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Talarico

But it’s not just that, he’s religious and the grandson a Christian church leader! Not like Crockett who…

Is religious and the daughter of a Christian church leader…

Well, she only takes some money from corporate PACS, and he takes… Well, he takes none, but…

The only thing Crockett has more experience in, is losing elections.

The only one she won, was because crypto bros bought it for her and the incumbent heavily supported her.

On November 20, 2021, incumbent representative Eddie Bernice Johnson of Texas’s 30th congressional district announced she would not seek reelection in 2022.[24] Four days later, Crockett declared her candidacy for the seat. Johnson simultaneously announced that she was backing Crockett.[25][26]

Crockett also received extensive financial support from Super PACs aligned with the cryptocurrency industry, with Sam Bankman-Fried’s Protect Our Future PAC giving $1 million in support of her campaign.[27]

There’s no logical reason for everyone to have such high options of her, except you all fell for billionaire and Republican propaganda

Can you give me a logical defense of:

    Crockett is more qualified,

Because I legitimately never understood her “rise”.

  • You’re literally falling for Republican propaganda…

The National Republican Senatorial Committee put out a poll in July with Crockett’s name included, which showed her as the leading Democrat in a hypothetical matchup.

“When we saw the results, we were like, ‘OK, we got to disseminate this far and wide,’” a source familiar with the process told NOTUS.

The fact that Crockett was included in the poll was no accident.

In June news broke that Texas Democrats Colin Allred, James Talarico, former Rep. Beto O’Rourke and Rep. Joaquin Castro met to discuss the 2026 election. Operatives at the NRSC realized that Crockett — whose political stock had been rising — wasn’t included in that meeting and also hadn’t been included in any credible poll. So they decided to change that.

That propaganda is literally the only reason she ran:

Crockett herself even admitted she was encouraged to jump into the race by all the positive polling she was seeing ahead of her announcement.

"The more I saw the poll results, I couldn’t ignore the trends that were clear,” Crockett said during her announcement speech.

Crockett did not return a request for comment.

We can’t afford to just ignore that people are being manipulated…

  • It’s not about race…

Talarico is more progressive and can convince people to agree with him.

Crockett is more conservative and just yells at people, that’s why the NRSC manipulated her into running, why after that came out she refused to acknowledge it, and why she’s now claiming the reason she lost is racism and she’s suing.

Even if we were skipping a general and either one was guaranteed to be a Texas Senator, Talarico.was the best choice.

It wasn’t just “who’s most electable” and frankly it’s concerning that so many people didn’t look deeper than skin color but are so opinionated on this.

You’re the reason the NRSC tried this manipulation, because it worked on you.

We can’t afford for it to happen again, look into candidates and what they actually have as a platform. Not just who’s the most outrageous on social media.

  • “Why would I give my kid a dead version of a disease?!”

So their immune system can handle the real thing Karen…

Antivaxxers never understood that we do run into this shit, and get infected by it.

With a vaccine we often just don’t notice. Without one, kids die or face lifelong complications.

Either way, they still get that “natural immunity” later.

Not vaxxing your kids is like sending a 12 year old to play offensive tackle in the super bowl. Sure, the tough ones might live, but they’re all getting injured. And even the ones who make it would have done better in their 20s with a decade of experience.

The vaccine is that experience and conditioning.

Operatives at the NRSC realized that Crockett — whose political stock had been rising — wasn’t included in that meeting and also hadn’t been included in any credible poll. So they decided to change that.

Following the NRSC’s polls, other surveys began to include Crockett and showed similar results: She was surging in the primary.

The NRSC then worked to amplify those polls and is taking credit for helping “orchestrate the pile on of these polling numbers to really drive that news cycle and that narrative that Jasmine Crockett was surging in Texas,” the source said.

Crockett herself even admitted she was encouraged to jump into the race by all the positive polling she was seeing ahead of her announcement.

“The more I saw the poll results, I couldn’t ignore the trends that were clear,” Crockett said during her announcement speech.

To be fair, this is the same gambit Hillary made with trump in 2015, and we all know how that worked out

My main issue with Crockett over all this, is she needed to at least acknowledge it. Throw in a “be careful what you wish for” and it would have likely even helped.

Going “no comment” right before a primary is a bad look. And like I said, something like this is where you see a person’s character. If someone can never admit they’re wrong and buries their head in the sand, they’re not a good leader even if they can win elections.

    Quick edit:

NRSC = National Republican Senatorial Committee

  • I don’t have anything against Crockett as a person, don’t even really know much about her.

Just that Republicans want her to make it to the general, that they paid for and promoted polls that said she could win the primary, and that she’s cited those very same polls as the reason she’s running.

If she’s naive enough to not understand she’s being manipulated here, or too headstrong to have re-evaluated after learning the truth…

She’s probably not gonna be a good politician.

Meanwhile if you’ve seen Talerico’s Colbert interview, you understand why trump sicced the FCC on them and prevented it from being aired with the show.

That dude could flip Texas without breaking a sweat.

Regardless of who wins the Dem primary tho, I’ll be pulling for them in the general.

  • Not only is Iran pretty big with weapons too, China sees this as an opportunity to test out some higher level tech that can’t be tested by Russia.

Planes just dropping out of the sky won’t be the only unexplained shit we see.

I’m honestly surprised the plane/drone dropped kamikaze microdrones havent been dropped yet. It’s basically the shotgun approach to beat missile defense and I don’t think even Israel could block it.

Would be some straight up 300 “block out the sun” type of shit and the next level of horror in war.

  • Seven current CNN employees who spoke to NBC News on Thursday night, hours after Netflix announced it would not try to match Paramount’s bid for WBD, expressed a combination of fear and concern. They described the mood inside the company as “shaken” and” depressing.”

Keep in mind this was less than three years ago:

Zaslav’s marching orders for Licht were to push CNN more toward the political middle. It makes some sense — Fox News is a right-wing propaganda machine; MSNBC is basically the same thing for the left. You’d think there would be a fair amount of room right down the center.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2023/06/07/relief-chris-licht-out-at-cnn/70299362007/

And that article was about Licht being fired…

He was replaced by this shithead:

In a 4 February 2024 investigation by The Guardian, some CNN staff blamed their channel’s newly appointed director Mark Thompson for what they described as biased reporting of the Gaza war. The staff criticized their network’s coverage of the war, charging that it had promoted Israeli propaganda, and gave more attention to Israeli suffering, and the Israeli narrative of the war. One staffer claimed that this bias was systematic and institutionalized, as many journalists’ stories were forced to be cleared by channel’s Jerusalem bureau before publication.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Thompson_(media_executive)

Meaning the current employees who are now worried, haven’t been worried enough to leave over ethical concerns long ago. And they’re still worried about what is happening.

It’s neoliberalism all over, they keep ratcheting to the right, it fails, so they double down and move further right. We have to accept the people calling the shots aren’t trying to make it work and know it won’t. They just want to drag the Overton window the right under any pretext.

No matter what happens, in 3-5 years they’ll say their only choice is to move to the right, that’s what authoritarians do.
