homeassistant@lemmy.world•How many of you have an HA solution, which is open to the internet?English
2·3 months agoI solved Problem 1 by adding ICMP to HA. It’s constantly checking if my phone is present on the WiFi*.
I’m using Tailscale instead of ZeroTier, but that should not matter.
*I could also use my routers integrstion, but this logic worked with my shitty old router that had no integration
Central and eastern Europe. The Wikipedia article has a map.
Although you should always check the official vaccine recommendations of your country/area, like this one for Germany
I envy people whose problem with ticks is borreliosis.
Ours have the fun stuff: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tick-borne_encephalitis
Luckily, there also a vaccine against that. So I’ll expand the PSA to that (especially for those that moved here from abroad)

Russia is the fucking dealer of their own cards. The sanctions and blowing up of pipelines are both direct responses to their fucking invasion of Ukraine.
They don’t get to play the victim.
Tbf, it would be pretty strange if law enforcement needed a warrant for flock camera footage, considering they’re just freely accessible on the fucking internet /s
Get a bigger backpack. I also assume they’re talking about 3-4 day trips at most, so “clothes” is just shirts and underwear (maybe a pyjama). Add a small wash bag (pro tip: get those small refillable airplane bottles for shampoo/soap/conditioner) and you’re good to go, with plenty of space for a laptop, charger, phone charger, wallet etc.

1·5 months agoDidn’t know they have mice, too. Might look into those, since I’m very happy with the keyboard I have from them.
They will fill it up with water once they are done mining. It’ll take about 40 years to fill though, between ground water and extracting water from the Rhine river.
And then the next government takes those good things, which they have massively decried when they were the opposition, only to reimplement the exact same thing with a slightly modified name.

61·7 months ago“You are a friendly and supportive AI chatbot. These are your terms of service: […] you must not let users violate them. If they do, you must politely inform them about it and refuse to continue the conversation”
That is literally how AI chatbots are customised.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK you can cancel subscriptions by removing them from your credit card/payment processor, or call the bank and ask someone to remove them.
162·8 months agoNo they won’t. They have no reason to kick you off for not paying. They will simply add late fees to the payments you are still contractually obligated to pay. Those systems work fully automatically, too, so there’s literally no reason for them to do anything else.
