Yeah age perception for me has been more like this too. Like I stay the same age and 20 year olds get younger and younger. Which is comically opposite to what middle aged men said it was like when I was a kid. But looking back they were probably emotionally stunted man babies or predators.

This is kind of a bad faith black and white argument. No one is arguing for a draconian regulation of car designs. Using hot air instead of helium would not work. The density of hot air is much higher than helium, so you would need a significantly larger airship to lift the same mass of payload (the useful bits).
