Torque = the power right at the moment you need it, hp = overall. In most cases, you get hp displayed at the car dealers as a selling point.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a gun nut or at all pro war, but why do they produce multimillion dollar missiles consisting of metal, fuel and explosives for that much for a one-way use instead of using that money to prevent wars? Well, call me a sweet summer child.

Oh man, my Dropbox situation was so fucked… unintentionally deleted directories, the Dropbox sync kicked in! Needless to say, never again did I trust a Cloud service. At least not in the way to be 100% dependent on it.

What would be really cool, is a kettle which has an alarm if the water is cooking. Some really high pitched noise so that everybody hears it. But the battery would probably die on that pretty soon. Hmm.

The one thing which COULD justify it, is technical debt. A programming language not supported anymore or in short-term/mid-term, bus factor, too much knowledge transfer, etc. But yeah, lots of times it’s “business as usual” just for “progress” and fancy buzzwords.
