If Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome is real then it’s extremely rare. Just look at People like Willie Nelson or Snoop. Fact is this syndrome was only first described after Colorado legalized cannabis recreationally. So even though many many people smoked just as much before legalization it somehow only became an issue afterward? Anecdotally I know a lot of people who smoke a lot of weed. Personally neither my wife and I have been sober for more than maybe a month in the last decade and a half, and I still smoke a lot more than just half a j at the end of the day. Sometimes if I don’t smoke and I don’t eat I get kinda nauseous. The same thing will happen if I do smoke and I don’t eat. I have/get every illness, if this was a thing I would have it lol

  • This is the fault of the US healthcare system and not necessarily the parents. I’ve had two kids in American hospitals and it was the single most exhausting, tortuous experience of my life each time. They don’t let you rest, so your decision making is impacted, then they have over 30 injections they want to give your newborn and God forbid you want to discuss any of them, you must be an anti-science monster if you dare to question a single one. If the practitioners can’t express plainly what is necessary and what is superfluous? Okay so the newborn baby needs a vitamin K injection, a vitamin their body will make on its own in a few days, to stop brain bleeds? And why is my newborn at risk of a brain bleed? Something to do with the constant stream of injections you’re giving them? Or maybe the cuts? Oh because of the jaundice? Well if you would allow parents to get their children any kind of natural light maybe that wouldn’t be an issue, but instead we’re being held hostage here until you are satisfied that you’ve solved every issue you create.

You can all sit behind your keyboards judging the sleep deprived new parents who are being misled and taken advantage of by the healthcare industry, and act like they don’t deserve to procreate, but like any other issue there is a lot more nuance to the problem than just “American dumb”

It’s not taking away kids access to communicate with friends though. There’s a million and one ways kids can communicate these days. It’s taking away adults’ access to other people’s children.
I agree the pedogarchy is the main issue here, and if you kept up with the 1% of files that were released you would know that having access to children on social media was part of their plan. We can attack that plan from both ends without some slippery slope bullshit about how children need facebook to stay in touch with each other. We all know that’s some grade a bolognium.

  • I am recovering from being raised by ultra crunchy parents. I had no vaccinations until I was already an adult. I have a unique vantage point into both sides of this issue and the thing of it is that yes maybe they are dumb, but the fear comes from a very real, even logical, place. Anything pushed on you by the American government should give anyone pause, because when was the last time the government spent gobs of money in the name of public health? Massive infrastructure spending in order to keep Americans from spending less on healthcare and increase their quality of life? Yeah that does not sound real. Why would the same government that has been dismantling public education and food/medication regulation spend a single red cent to make Americans’ teeth better? It makes no logical sense, so it is easy to see why generations of Americans that have been screwed over by their government at every turn would be skeptical of anything put in the water supply “for their benefit.” This is about a loss of trust in lawmakers, and all they’ve done to perpetuate it.

As an aside, though, I have watched a ton of people traverse the crunchy leftist to MAGA pipeline and it still bewilders me. “I don’t trust the government, but I trust the sleezy car salesman I have vehemently loathed for decades.” I can only blame lead poisoning for that one.
