Non-violent protests and their leaders are heralded by the establishment for a reason. They want non-violent protests because it’s an outlet that doesn’t actually affect their power. Martin Luther King gets credit for civil rights but really the rioting and violence on the periphery of that movement is what scared the powerful into bargaining. Symbols can be useful for rallying people, but in the end, it’s always direct action against the interest of the powerful that works. Large scale general strikes, riots, and political killings have always been the catalyst of major change.

Also, even if all that happened in the US, we still need some kind of leadership to pick up the pieces that will actually do something lasting to change things. The Democrats certainly aren’t that.

Of 264.8 million voting age Americans only 77.3 million Trump voters - so less than a 3rd of eligible voters voted for him.

I think calling it “hell” is a bit silly. It’s only hell if you are a loud mouth idiot who can’t stop getting into drama. Is being out with a good job better, yes. But TV and the news dramatize it drastically. You basically sit around and read / watch TV most of the time in medium security. I think most people would be surprised how much less terrible it is than it’s hyped to be. If I had to choose prison or being incredibly poor / homeless - I’d choose prison.

Prison really is not that bad - especially federal prison. It’s boring but if you are poor, so is regular life. Don’t pay rent, don’t pay for health care, get 3 square meals that are about as shitty as shelter food. The gang violence stuff is pretty easy to avoid overall - again, especially in federal prison. State prisons are crappier in most states.

Yet they are too strapped for cash for raises or to not lay off workers.

And poor people get fucked. This type of shit is only advantageous to people with enough disposable income to do it. Rich get richer any way you slice it in this rigged system.

Somehow he must power his network state islands so he can leave us poors to die on the mainland.

Japan used state capitalism to promote it’s auto industry and other key sectors to sustain strong growth. America’s weakened billionaire owned government system is just being strip mined into the ground. We won’t be able to compete in an economy that’s only product is wealth extraction because of our massive corruption.
