I might be a person with ADHD in a ADHD community but that doesn’t mean that I need to view everything through that lens. ADHD explains many things in my life but not all things. It might be a sensory issue for some but I’m talking about myself here. Me disagreeing with a meme is not an attack on your identity.

  • I don’t understand why people want content in their feed that only makes them angry and feeds their tribal biases. It’s like fast food, except not even enjoyable to consume. I get why OP posts it - it attracts a certain type of person like moths to a flame - but it’s those moths I have no theory of mind for. Writing angry comments about someone to a homogeneous audience that already agrees with you, just to get pats on the back and feel like part of a group, is so intellectually uninteresting to me that I want nothing to do with it. That’s why I block all these articles, the kind where I can predict the entire comment section without even opening it. If there were actual discussion, I’d be all for it, but it’s nothing but a mudslinging contest I have no wish to partake in.
