Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.

It’s not quite right to say those companies are “all in on AI” when their core businesses are still based on physical products and established services. These were already highly successful companies long before the AI boom. If their valuations are inflated because of the hype, a correction wouldn’t send them to zero - it would just bring their prices back in line with their actual underlying value.

The thing with Tomahawks is that they’re designed to be fired from launchtubes in warships or submarines. These aren’t exactly something you just hand over and they’re ready to be used.

That’s okay. I can use one of the 20 cables I have already laying around.

political beliefs on Lemmy that seem resistant to propagandized beliefs
What is this assumption even based on? This is a left-wing echo chamber made up of people who largely share the same beliefs. Of course we think our views are the right ones, that we see the truth, and that those people over there are just morons or victims of propaganda. But the reality is that people on the other side of the political spectrum think exactly the same thing. Naturally, you assume you’re immune to it all - just like everyone thinks they’re an above-average driver.
Bolt heads stand proud. You can’t build a deck with them.
You only need Torx screws (six-lobe) The only reason to have a bit set with the rest of the heads is so that you can remove an old fastener and replace it with torx.
No. Those are almost impossible to properly sharpen which is why I’d never buy one.
Just a basic two-sided 1000 to 3000 grit whetstone and finished with a leather strop. This seems sufficient for everything but my S30V steel folding knife. That one needs a diamond stone and even then I can’t get it anywhere near as sharp as this stainless Victorinox Santoku knife let alone my carbon steel bushcraft knife that’ll get scary sharp.
I might be a person with ADHD in a ADHD community but that doesn’t mean that I need to view everything through that lens. ADHD explains many things in my life but not all things. It might be a sensory issue for some but I’m talking about myself here. Me disagreeing with a meme is not an attack on your identity.
It’s not a sensory issue - I just like wearing socks. Not everything needs to be pathologized.

I never really changed the way I use it. I just post pictures and watch pictures. I’ve never viewed stories or tried any of those other features. It’s the pictures I’m there for.

Exactly. I buy highly diversified index funds for a reason.

This is what a functional justice system looks like. Or do you prefer the US version more?
Being plastic is not the issue - it’s the quality of the plastic.
I don’t recommend any other brand to my customers than Oras but I’m not sure how easy those are to get in the US.

“So you’re saying…” is such a meme that I can’t believe you’re actually using it unironically.
No, that strawman is not even remotely what I’m saying.

The only “proper equipment” you need for a bike ride is the bike. Everything else is matter of preference.
I ride year around wearing hiking gear along with combat boots, mechanix padded gloves and a 10kg backpack. It might not be optimal for time trials but I also don’t want to be stranded in the middle of the forest wearing spandex or without tools incase of a mechanical failure.

I don’t understand why people want content in their feed that only makes them angry and feeds their tribal biases. It’s like fast food, except not even enjoyable to consume. I get why OP posts it - it attracts a certain type of person like moths to a flame - but it’s those moths I have no theory of mind for. Writing angry comments about someone to a homogeneous audience that already agrees with you, just to get pats on the back and feel like part of a group, is so intellectually uninteresting to me that I want nothing to do with it. That’s why I block all these articles, the kind where I can predict the entire comment section without even opening it. If there were actual discussion, I’d be all for it, but it’s nothing but a mudslinging contest I have no wish to partake in.

There’s nothing offensive about it to me.
Or better: buy the dip.
