Ahh that makes a lot more sense
Cheers for the clarification

Oh nice one, that’s kinda cool
See I thought the curie temperature was a ‘one and done’ sort of deal where you have to go through the process of remagnetizing the magnet after it had gone beyond that point.

Not sure where they said they “did an entire presentation on this thing” or where they got their information from. I’m only adding some context to what I know of how thermostats work. I would gladly admit I’m wrong if provided with some evidence.
If you want a visual demonstration of a thermostat working here’s a video.
(For context I don’t mean to come across as one of those “well ackshually” asshats, I just like watching people take apart electronics (was also slightly obsessed with magnets as a kid. MANY hard drives were sacrificed to my curiosity lol).)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curie_temperature I doubt they’re using magnets, especially considering how hot they have to get to lose their magnetism as you suggest.
Most thermostats in electronics such as kettles and cookers use a bi-metallic strip inside, where the two metal layers expand at different rates. The contacts in the switch are physically pulled apart by the strip bending when the desired temperature is reached. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bimetallic_strip

I have never once in my life paid for an uber to deliver my burrito.
I don’t even order takeout outside of being social gatherings with friends.
I’ve been driving for eight years and only ever owned two cars, one I had to get rid of because I couldn’t afford to pay for it to be repaired, and the other was dirt cheap because it had a dodgy crash sensor.
I have NEVER had a credit card.
But do tell me how frivolous financial choices are what’s making me poor, because you seen it on TV.
It’s definitely not the complete lack of protections on livable wages and how inflation has been above wages for my entire lifetime.

“the system is designed to prevent you from saving your way out of poverty” Followed immediately by “go 10,000 into credit card debt to pay for education”
While “Bankruptcy can’t take away your skills” it can 100% leave you on the street.

If it’s any consolation it took me until I hit 33 for me to have any savings at all.
Anything I put into the account I used for savings went out the same month so I didn’t go into an overdraft.
Funny enough the only thing that changed is I passed my qualifications and got my first “real” job… Though I may have also spent the past 8 or 9 years isolated in a way that regular people only got to see during the 'rona times

Ah yes, thank you Times of Israel for your unbiased and fair look into the thoughts of the people fighting against complete eradication by the hands of the country you are propagandists for.
Had a pair of red lens aviators back in the day and my god did they make my brain happy, 0% blue light, everyone looks at you like you’re some kinda weirdo (and the weirdos know you’re one of them). Only downside is everything goes green when you take them off.

“I already said I’m in support of him, you dont have to sell me on it further”
Leave that bottle of evaporated piss water where it belongs and get the fuck out of starbucks, then we might be talking
If strength and weight wasn’t an issue then compact folding is entirely possible, considering how they’ve been using foldable solar panels on satellites since the early days of spaceflight
A rolled panel however would have to use very thin and small cells, which would be less efficient

If you search for ‘Fiber reinforced hose’ you should get something comparable (cheaper than anything that’s labelled ‘military grade’ and fit for a lot of water lines PVC is decent and cheap, but if you’re using it for drinking water try and get something that’s silicone, just for safety’s sake

Only thing you’ll ever have to replace is the little rubber O-rings (I use these at work on the radiator fill ports and they’re genuinely bombproof)
Get some proper reinforced hose and you’ll never need to replace your garden hose / jetwash hose again
Love the proportions, those are some mighty clean joints as well.
If you’re thinking of keeping the cishions outiade, you can make your own waterproof covers by mixing clear silicone sealant with isopropyl alcohol and painting that onto your choice of fabric.
