There were some people practically tripping over themselves to add all the prerequisites needed to support age verification. Instead of waiting to see how things played out, they just rushed through changes for things like systemd.

Depends. Sometimes its better to pay more for a better quality brand because it’ll last longer - therefore costing less in the long run. Shoes/boots are a good example of this. Obviously if its more expensive that doesn’t mean it’ll be automatically be better though.
I was thinking surely it doesn’t just look at the extension and instead uses the mime type at the backend… After looking for a minute (on mobile) I think thats what it does.

Hasn’t had an update in nearly a year, according to their github. Bit disappointing.
Pure software project. I’d like to have a fully featured client for free, with donations as an option. Not interested in ads, not sure on locking features behind a paywall either - instead maybe something like paying for a hosted option instead of self hosting.

Also, I recently learnt that it forces the other channel to provide their personal details directly to the person that raises the claim (the person who raises the claim doesn’t need to provide their details). I watched a video the other week where some streamer started harassing another streamer, filed a copyright claim to get their personal details, and used that to find out where they go to University etc.
People can donate to all of these things if they wish - I dont see why GrapheneOS can’t also be given funds even just for the work that they’re doing currently.
